THE Annual National Sports Awards judges sparked controversy when they connived to relegate World Cup-bound Zimbabwe national netball team into the periphery during the belated awards ceremony in Harare last night.
Gems coach Lloyd Makunde also lost in the Coach of the Year award with the judges handing it to Cheetahs gaffer, Gilbert Nyamutsamba for the second year running.
How a World Cup qualification success story could be deemed insignificant will haunt these awards for years.
