FC PLATINUM coach Norman Mapeza says underrating impoverished cross-town rivals Shabanie Mine will be suicidal for the champions. Stakes for today’s fixture have been raised after Shabanie Mine benefactor Dumezweni Mpofu promised 18 Match Day players winning bonuses if they beat their fierce rivals.

“It is a different ball game if I am going to talk much about what have been happening before our game and I will be fooling myself,’’ said Mapeza.

“Shabanie might have conceded many goals, but you never know their game plan when they play against us, what is important is to go there with a positive mind.

“We need to continue from where we left against Chicken Inn and not focusing on what other teams are doing and see what happens at the end of the day.’

FC Platinum defensive midfielder Winston Mhango said mind games win matches of this magnitude.
“At the end of the day the most important thing is the badge and we will be playing for FC Platinum, the club comes first. It is about the mindset and tactical aspects of the game and if we apply ourselves well, we can win the match,” said Mhango.

Shabanie Mine gaffer Takesure Chiragwi this week said his charges always find a way of playing well against the big guns.
They have held Ngezi, Dynamos and CAPS United this season.
