At least 13 foreign nations took part in this year’s show, while on the local participation, 59 percent of the exhibitors were from Harare, 30 percent came from Bulawayo and the remainder from other cities.

The Minister of Industry and Commerce, Cde Mike Bimha told the media fraternity that this year’s ZITF had managed to achieve its intended objectives, with the government also pledging to implement proposals from the business community on economic growth policies.

“We are happy over the fair and we are really optimistic about the growth prospects, so this is really a great success for the nation,” he said.

This year’s trade fair saw various commodities being displayed while service providers from the government and the private sector also managed to exhibit a wide range of product varieties in line with efforts by the government to restore business confidence policies.
